“The T.Rex aggregation stormed into town last night and nearly blew down the walls of the Aquarius Theater.

The English rock and roll band, the creation of Marc Bolan, is a huge success in England and Europe and is starting to climb the charts here. Bolan writes the material and is the lead guitarist and singer. A musician and entertainer of many parts, all of them interesting, he blends them into an explosive package in concert. Building to a climax of nearly painful intensity and sound that threatened to atomize your ear wax. It raised the audience to its feet – it would have raised the dead – and the members gyrated in place or spilled to the aisles despite the best efforts of ushers and security police.”
