This collection is of songs that didn’t make the ‘Neighbourhood Songs’  set for one reason or another  usually we ran out of space or in some cases they turned up after we had sent the box off to the pressing plant ( this always happens )..Kicking of with what was a live favourite for years “Here We Go Again” along with an embryonic  Version of “Beautiful Sadness” still being titled “Don’t Make Me Laugh”  (which changed during this very session)recorded in Vermont for the unreleased album from 1978 ..Ballroom Streets being favoured as an album  due to the stellar live performance. We will be addressing the Vermont recording sessions later on .

“ Mama said ..”  turned up recently and is such a great recording I was gutted it had missed the box. The three U.S broadcasts were all bumped off for something else  but I thought they were of sufficient interest to include here. The live “Some Say ..”  is the only track we had from Australia 1976 and a great performance too, same with “Kansas”  from the Met. Two tracks from another aborted studios session this time in L.A in 1977 a new punchier version of “Uptown…” and a great but oddly recorded version of “Kisses Sweeter Than Wine” possibly recorded in the production room .
