Since Marc Bolan’s death there have been many CD releases claiming to contain unreleased or rare material. The last five years have seen even more issues than the previous fifteen years. Many of the so-called ‘unreleased’ or ‘rare’ tracks have actually been available before, resulting in a confused public. When we see the ‘unreleased’ caption on a new release, do we as fans, need to rush out and buy it?
This book aims to sort out these problems by itemising and listing sources for all the available Marc Bolan recordings. To do this, all the lifetime official record releases featuring Marc Bolan are listed. The outtakes and additional releases that come from the same time period or sessions (including known unreleased material) then follow these.

All serious Bolan fans should own a copy of this book, it’s absolutely brilliant!! The artwork on the cover and quality of the book itself are stunning! There’s some amazing photos and all the information you need to know about every Bolan recording in great detail.
Honestly if you really are a BIG!! Fan of Bolan get yourself a copy of this wonderful book….you won’t be disappointed, it’s Cosmic!!

this is an awesome book, and essential for fans. you need this book! as Ludwig von Köchel is to Mozart with his extensive catalogue, so Irving Campbell is to Marc Bolan.
the book is now 7 years old, but even so, i am using it as the basis for the cataloguing and cross referencing of all the Marc material i have, either digitally or physically, and to try to fill in some gaps. this is not a small or cheap task! and there is so much duplication!
there have been some interesting releases since the book was published, such as the two takes of All At Once from 1964 that Irving predicted would be released, several Easy Action discs, and the awesome 6 disc BBC set. although even there, i think i have some tracks on bootlegs that are better quality than the BBC set. i definitely have bootlegs that have better quality versions of some tracks than on the discs mentioned in the book. no doubt they were released too late. so much sorting out to do!
