I had to buy this album as soon as I saw that Gas Chamber was on it. I’ve been looking for that song everywhere. Ever since I watched the film Serial Mom. I’ve always loved the Camel Lips scene, the song rocks. I had no idea that they were called L7 in reality. There are so many great covers and live performances on the cd. Best played loud. I got really into L7 when I recognised them on Kerrang the music video for pretend we’re dead came on and I was like woah they are Camel Lips from Serial Mom that’s how I expanded my interest also S***tlist is on the Natural Born Killers soundtrack again I had no idea it was L7 singing at the time. Love it! . They are one of my favourite bands and this CD is brilliant. Lucky that I got to see them live this year they were amazing. Yes a downfall is that the instruments/music overpowers the singing on some of the songs but if you listen to the album through your earphones you can hear the singing clearly. I waited a while for it to be delivered but amazon kept me up to date. I was very happy to wait.

Fast and Frightening
Garage grunge girls revisited.
As usual, the Easy Action label seeks for us unreleased nuggets, for the greatest pleasure of us all, fans. After a comeback in 2015 while in full menopause mode for a series of concerts, as white hot as the old glory days, the L7 girls actually do see their lost legacy lovingly compiled in a two CD combo. The second disc is filled with two low-fi but burnin’ different shows (a Brisbane gig in 1992 for the ‘Bricks Are Heavy’ tour, the other one in Detroit in 1990), but it’s the first CD that gets us fully excited. Only rarities, lives from TV shows, B-sides and a whole lotta tasty covers : an unexpected Blue Oyster Cult, The Germs, Blondie (« Hanging On The Telephone »), Ramones, Dead Kennedys, or this obviously riot grrrls version of the Guns N’Roses’ « I Used To Love Him » ! Cherry on top of the bomb : a duet with their idol Joan Jett on the Runaways’ « Cherry Bomb » ! Yummy !

Wow, the live Recordings from Australia and Detroit are totally rough, dirty and powerfull. This album shows the quality and outstanding power of these 4 musicians as wild performers. great to have this piece of heavy punkrock in my hi-fi (sorry, neighbours, must play loud!) PS: saw them live in 2016, I really think they gonna rock da shit until …. the are re-born 🙂 great live band.
